Amazonas
The Amazonas region, whose capital is Chachapoyas, owes its name to the famous Amazon River. It is considered that the first source of the river comes from the Río Marañón, crossing the territory.
It is a region with a very humid and hot climate due to its tropical location. As a result, rice, coffee and cocoa are grown there. Biodiversity is very rich there and you can, during your visit, discover many varieties of flowers and tropical plants.
In parallel, in this region, there are vestiges of the Chachapoyas culture, the best known being the fortress of Kuélap, which is well worth the detour.
Thus, the Amazonas region allows you to alternate between culture, nature and heritage, which will make your stay a complete and enriching adventure from all points of view!
